A collaborative project by the artist group Conte Potuto, developed during an artist-in-residence at Phoenix Gallery, Athens, 2019.
During a three-week residency, we dig a tunnel to China. Through a peephole in the door of an Athenian apartment, our gaze falls into the room of Chinese workers. We collect the building materials (Christmas wrapping paper and gift boxes) for the tunnel from the streets of the Exarchia district.
