Jürgen Münzer (°1985) works with process-based and collaborative approaches to translate experiences and adventures into collective stories. In addition to conceptual approaches to spatial installations and sculptural works, he has worked on journalistically and actionistically motivated projects that deal with socio-political issues. His work focuses on dialogue with marginalized groups and active engagement with the topics of contemporary historiography and collective memory. Recently, he has been involved in interventions and performances in public spaces and in a community building project in Lebanon. His aim is to use art as a tool to support transformative acts of solidarity. After training as a mechanical engineer, he studied architecture at Graz University of Technology from 2006 to 2014 and worked in various architecture firms in Austria and Spain. From 2005 to 2023 he studied Transdisciplinary Art in Vienna and collaborated in numerous artistic projects with Conte Potuto, Ines Doujak and John Barker and GDS.
